The fact that its animation as well just adds to the argument one can make for why it’s so impactful. Obviously a lot of people are feeling the same way because the show is being highly-praised, it’s nice to see, the X-Men is rich territory as you all said and it’s cool to see it being tapped into so expertly ! I have spent hundreds of hours playing the Fallout games, and this show makes me feel like I am right back in the wasteland. It was almost shocking how well they nailed the world and the aesthetic and the tone of the games. It makes me so happy to see a whole new crop of fans coming to the world. The games are such wonderful sci-fi. Its also shameless nostalgia bait for the decade in America where its arguable that we were at our peak in. 50s designs and ideals blast 120 years into the future and nuclear powered, rising cold war tensions and all.

That scene was better than any action scene, you say before seeing the end of the show with the ultimate X-Men action shot. You aren't wrong that it is very powerful, and much more powerful than most action scenes, but you can't say any.

I did not enjoy the comics at all but I love the show. My sentiment appears somewhat common from what I've heard from others who have read the comics and the show. I love Garth Ennis' writing for Punisher and Preacher, but I just didn't enjoy The Boys.

The whole thumb thing is only part of the game and show, not reality. It has been debunked by physicists. You can be a safe enough distance away even if the mushroom cloud is bigger than your thumb. In fact, to be smaller than your thumb the detonation would have to be something like 20 miles away.

We saw this live action in X2 when Magneto removed the iron from his security guard. 😱

I don't know that x-men 97 disproves the idea of superhero fatigue because I don't believe this show is exactly crushing it in the ratings/streaming numbers/etc. It may seem popular on Twitter but I don't know that the actual numbers bare that out. It's still a great show, though.

The comics are SO much more extreme. I love 'em, but still... That said, this live-action universe does things better than the source material.

Even my spouse, who knows almost nothing about X-Men outside of a few of the films, knows that Wolverine should never go against Magneto.

I don't think the Void is the only bleak location we've seen. I think we've seen The Void, MCU historical moments locations, and the desolate destroyed world of our Wolverine. This is gonna break our brains in the best ways!

I can see season 2 be about Onslaught and Age Of Apocalypse. I say AOA because certain characters need to be pulled from that timeline/earth to handle Onslaught. The cool thing about the Onslaught arc is that we could see a lot of other Marvel characters like the Avengers and The Fantastic Four if they do the arc properly.

This gonna be a wild ride foos! But the comic is by any standards is worse than Amazon version I once saw someone say invincible is a critique on superheroes by someone who loves superheroes and the boys is a critique on superheroes by someone who hates superheroes

Augustin is completely correct. When people are passionate about the stories they write and tell the product comes across so well. The Mandolorian did the exact same thing. This series has been so well made.

As long as Storm can swim, she should be okay. If not, then maybe a NAMOR (cameo) will save her. Jean will turn into the Phoenix proven that she not her clone was the Phoenix. Wolverine will heal himself and be left with bone claws and an even more feral attitude. Forge will simply eject from the plane.
